How to Apply to Our Program

Step 1. Before You Start

We offer Fall admission only.  The application deadline for the MFA program (including all supporting materials) must be received no later than February 1, 2025.

All materials are to be uploaded to Interfolio, which includes the Confidential Recommendation on Applicant form to be completed and submitted by each recommender.

Also, apply for Financial Aid by the California state deadline through FAFSA.

You will need to submit material to three different places:

  1. Submit the university application online at Cal State Apply.
  2. Graduate Admissions
  3. Interfolio

Step 2. Now, Submit the Basics

Graduate Admission Requirements

Students applying for admission should electronically submit the university application available at Cal State Apply along with the $70.00 (non-refundable) application fee.
