Literary Journals
We offer many exciting opportunities to learn about the publishing scene both through our academic programs and through hands-on experience. Our students are able to work as interns at literary agencies and local literary organizations in San Diego. They can intern and later join editorial teams at our internationally known literary journals.

Fiction International is the only literary journal in the United States emphasizing formal innovation and social activism. Founded by Joe David Bellamy in 1973 at St. Lawrence University in New York, the journal was relocated to San Diego State University in 1983 and is edited by Harold Jaffe.
